The SWES PTO consists of parents, teachers, and administrators, all working together to provide funds for teacher and administrative support, technology needs, field trips, family events, cultural arts, assemblies, and classroom items for all students and much more! 

WHY GET INVOLVED?
The PTO cannot achieve its goals without you! By volunteering you have the opportunity to suggest, plan, organize and support educational and social activities, which support and shape our children and enhance our school. 
WHAT WE DO...
The SWES PTO organizes many programs and provides support for various school initiatives, including: ​
  • Capital Projects - Supports capital projects that will have a long-term impact on learning at Steuart Weller. As Weller enters its second decade, the PTO has been integral in the transformation of the computer lab into the new Innovation Lab (securing more than $10,000 in funds from SweatWorks, a SWES parent owned business, to kick start the transformation, as well as donations from Sherwin Williams of Ashburn helping to bring color to the Innovation Lab's walls). The PTO will also play a huge role in the future endeavor of converting the two interior courtyards into functioning Outdoor Classrooms.   • Events – Organizes the Back to School Picnic, Spooky Bingo, Free Family Fun Nights, Variety Show, and other family friendly events throughout the year
  • School Support – Provides funds to teachers for classroom supplies, manages grocery store card loyalty programs, raises funds for the playground, school beautification, additional technology needs for the school, organizes Spirit Nights benefiting SWES, manages the After School Activities Program and offers School Supply Boxes to families at the beginning of the year with a percentage of the proceeds back to the school.
  • Staff Support – Sponsors Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week as well as quarterly Teacher/Staff Luncheons and Bus Driver Appreciation
  • Spirit Wear – Designs, orders and sells a ​variety of Wild Cat gear
  • Other - Provides support for Odyssey of the Mind, Watch Dog Dads, book fairs, picture day, field trips, the TEACH program, the LEAP program, dental screenings, hearing and vision screenings, field days and the 5th Grade promotion​
